Methandrostenolone, commonly known as Dianabol or dbol, was first produced and marketed by Ciba-Geigy in 1960. It was promoted as being highly anabolic, androgenic, with little progestational activity. Dianabol was also reported to enhance feelings of well-being. Dianabol was indicated for the treatment of disorders requiring increased protein synthesis and osteoporosis. There are many different pharmaceutical and generic varieties including popular Anabol and Naposim.

Dianabol is mostly used to cure problems like most anabolic steroids available in the market, with good results in little time. It is used to enhance anaerobic glycolysis, to produce sufficient amounts of lactic acid in the body. Lactic acid is a key component for the consumption of glycogen by muscles to produce energy, although this energy is only available for a short time.
